Memorial Day

We went over to our friends the Miniscalco's for Memorial Day. They have twins Melanie's age. The kids were so fun together. They have a little girl, Grace, who is so similar to Melanie in all of the things they do and the way they act, however, Grace is much more daring than Melanie. As you will see in the pictures they had a fun sprinkler toy that Grace jumped right into, Melanie and Zach took on more of a "watching" role.

We went to Relay for Life again this year at the Gwinnett Fair Grounds. We had a great time being around everyone and going to all of the booths. It started to rain so we had to go home but we got a few pics in ahead of time. Our school had it's best year yet- raising $5,000.00. Way to go Partee!

Playing at the Pool

Melanie has pools everywhere and loves them. The first set of pictures is her at Mamaw's and Pops' pool. She thinks it is great!

New Pics and Mother's day

I had an amazing Mother's Day. Rodney, Donna, my mom and dad, Clint, Melanie and I all went up to Mtn Park and had a picnic and played on the playground. It was nice for no one to have to clean up or cook. The day before my grandmother came to town so we were able to visit as well. Clint got me a digital picture frame which I am excited to start playing with. Things have been super busy. School is almost over...wahooooo! And wedding season is beginning for all of my friends so our weeks are filled with crazy work schedules and the weekends are filled with wedding events but I am almost to the end of craziness. Melanie had her last day of school. She made me a cute handprint poem/gift for Mother's Day. It was sweet to get a craft from her. We went up to the Little Gym (Killian Hill and Hwy 78) this past weekend. Melanie LOVED it. I had taken her to Gymboree before and did NOT love it. There were too many parenting lessons built in and it was too structured. At the Little Gym there was an instructor and he went around to different stations to teach you things but if your child decided to wonder off somewhere else that was okay and you would just practice whatever he taught you when you got around to it. Melanie played instruments, practiced forward rolls, log rolls, running, jumping, reaching for the sky, rolling a ball, throwing a ball, catching a ball, and kicking a ball. She also practiced the beginning of a cartwheel (just touching her hands to the ground and trying to jump/bounce) and hanging from a bar and they have a beginners balance beam but she hated it and was not about to put her feet on it. It was so fun. We signed up to go this summer once a week. It's neat b/c both parents can go or just one and they have a giant observation wall for other folks to watch and they have final "performance" at the end where grandparents etc. can come see them. Our session was just a trial session and Melanie was the youngest in the group b/c the kids had been in that class for 4 months already and they were moving up this summer. But, this summer I think Melanie will be one of the oldest. Here are many of the latest cute pics.
