Here are the first round of Christmas pictures. It was an amazing holiday! Melanie was very meticulous about opening presents so it took forever. She focused on every gift so we had to coax her into opening each new one. There were some definite favorites! She loved the ball pit from uncle TJ (soooo much that we can be downstairs and say do you want to get in your ball pit and she crawls to the stairs!), her Elmo chair from Mamaw and Pops, her baseball toy from Clint and myself, her jumping Tigger and new clothes (yes, she LOVED the clothes!) from Brian and Dawn, and an activity table from Nanna and Pawpaq.

It Must be Picture Season

Posing in her crib
Continuing to pose at my mom's ...
Loving to crawl- hating to try and walk!
With her new baby- she likes it until it cries...maybe a little taste of her own medicine?
Melanie with Santa

We had Melanie's picture taken withe the Santa at the Avenue at Webb Ginn and really liked him. He was quite authentic. However they do their pictures outside and the kids a free carriage ride along with the free picture and it was during artic weather so we moved very quickly. The picture we got from the folks was good (and free) however, we couldn't quite get a perfect one of Melanie looking at us with our camera but we did get a few good ones.

First Haircut

Showing off the final look with Aileen who accompanied us on the adventure
Showing off her new side ponytail
Sitting like a big girl
The "before" look

Melanie got her first haircut yesterday. She behaved extremely well! She enjoyed sitting in the fun chair with a steering wheel also. She no longer has a rat tail. Welcome to 2006! Anyway- here are the cute pictures. I took her to Chick-fil-A afterwards and let her have chicken nuggets and fries as a reward (as if she understood) and boy did she love it! She tried to bite my finger off to get more fries.

Funny New Pictures

Her latest thug look...she pulled this old hat from her drawer...her new favorite game!

Mommy and Melanie after bath.

Showing off her chompers

She thinks her measuring cups are perfect size drinking cups!

She loves baby dolls all of a sudden. Right after this picture she pooped on the floor. Joy.

Daddy and Melanie after bath

She thinks watching the water come out of the faucet is amazing- she likes to stick her head under it and try to catch the water with her hands.

Her hair holds pigtail looks without rubberbands- much more body than my hair!

Papa and Melanie

We went to Chattanooga for Thanksgiving this year and had a great time visiting with everyone. Melanie was an amazing little girl- she slept the whole way down there and the whole way back-wahoo! She also was quite social. I was scared that she might be leary of going to the family members she hadn't seen in a while but she was just a social butterfly going to anyone and playing with anything. She LOVED eating all of the yummy Thanksgiving food. There was not one thing she did not like. We really enjoyed our trip- here are all of the great pictures.
